Viewing the Change Request Detail Record

The Change Request Detail is always the first information displayed when entering the Change Request record.

  1. From the SmartSolve Portal Page, click the Home tab at the top of the window
  2. In the Document Management section of the list, select Find > Change Request.
    Result: A list of change requests is displayed.
  3. Click the Change Request No. of the change request to be viewed.
    Result: The change request's detail record is displayed.
  4. The following information is displayed in the detail record:
Information Description

Header

The header of the Change Request record is always displayed at the top of the window and contains the following information:

  • Change Request Number – Displays a unique number assigned to the Change Request record (this number cannot be changed).
  • Status – Displays the current status of the change Request, such as OPEN or INWORKS.
  • Document No. – Displays the number of the document for which the change request was created.
  • Document Status – Displays the current status of the document for which the change request was created.
  • Document Title – Displays the title of the document.

Ownership

Each Change Request record contains an owner who is responsible for managing the activities within the Change Request record. Change request ownership can be changed at any time.

Resolution

Displays the resolution information that can be manually entered into the Change Request record by the owner if no change order has been created or attached to the change request.

Attachment

The Attachments tab is used to attach any number of external attachments to the Change Request record.

Activity

The Activity tab is used to view all automatically and manually entered activities for the Change Order record.

Change Order

The Change Order tab displays a list of the change orders to which the change request has been attached.
