Clients

Clients are maintained under the Organization Units section of Setup. A client can include any individual or company outside of your organization, such as a supplier, customer, or contractor.

The following options are available within the Client object and can be managed accordingly by an administrator:

• Clients can be edited, deleted, and deactivated.
• Clients contain contacts which can be set up as placeholders in SmartSolve records, or as actual end users who must log into SmartSolve to view and/or make record transactions.
• Clients can also have operations associated with them. For example, this enables you want to track and analyze processes that are managed by the client.

User Rights

The following rights must be assigned to a user for that user to manage or view clients:

Rights	Description
CLI_MANAGE	Allows the administrator to add new objects, modify existing objects, or delete objects.
CLI_VIEW	Allows the user to access the object to view and select.
