Unit of Measurement allows you to create different types of measurements to be used throughout the application (e.g., Celsius, Inches, Ounces, etc.). Consistency and ease of use are achieved by creating these units of measurement.
The following rights must be assigned to a user to manage or view Units of Measurement:

Allows user to access object to view and select. |

· Global Unit of Measurement will be inherited by all Local Organizations.
· Local Unit of Measurement will only be viewed and used within that Local Organization.
1. From the SmartSolve tabs select Admin > Setup. Select Unit of Measurement from System Wide.
The Unit of Measurement list displays.
2. Select Action > Add from the main menu (or right click).
3. Enter Code and Unit of Measure.
4. Enter the unit Multiplier.
5. Click the Save button.
The new Unit of Measurement has now been added to the UOM list.

The following options are available within Unit of Measurement objects and can be managed accordingly by an administrator:
Unit of Measurement can be edited, deleted, and deactivated.
1. From the SmartSolve tabs select Admin > Setup. Select Unit of Measurement from System Wide.
The object list displays.
2. Click the icon to switch to Local view (if applicable).
3. Select the check box of the Unit of Measurement to edit then select Action > Edit from the main menu (or right click).
4. Edit any information for your Unit of Measurement.
5. Click the Save button.
All changes should now be reflected in the list.
Units of Measurement can only be deleted from SmartSolve if the UOM has not currently been attached to any SmartSolve records.
1. From the SmartSolve tabs select Admin > Setup. Select Unit of Measurement from System Wide.
The object list displays.
2. Click the icon to switch to Local view (if applicable).
3. Select the check box of the Unit of Measurement to delete then select Action > Delete from the main menu (or right click).
4. Click the Save button.
The object has now been removed from the system.
